My name is Yvan Lewertoff. I have performed technical field service within Canada for various CNC machine manufacturers and distributors for over 25 years. In 2009, after having recently been liberated from my long standing job at Canadian Hardinge Machine Tools Ltd. I decided to form my own business once again.  I was previously incorporated for 10 years performing motion picture film equipment service before turning to the machining industry, the video industry toppled the editing equipment business around 1991. Having said that I will of course also repair film editing equipment of all types if ever required. My father, Fritz Lewertoff, and I designed and produced the well known Cinetrim splicer, known as the best ever American type 16mm and 35mm motion picture film splicer.

My experience in CNC repairs started in 1996 with Megatel Inc. in Montreal, soon becoming service manager for all operations in Ontario and Quebec.  In 1999 I moved to Ferro Teqnique, and was trained in Korea by Daewoo (later known as Doosan). In 2000 I started for Hardinge and re-located from Montreal to the Ottawa area. Following the economic downturn of 2008, I was the last Canadian Hardinge employee left in Oct. 2009,  when I left to form Lewertek Inc.
